A quasi-psychological experiment into how much we notice of daily life, displayed as a website containing videos and psychological reports, alongside a photobook.
Began my curiousity in differences in lived experience, and how this can be expressed through video.
Final year; finalisation of degree work. Manchester, similar to Moments (2017), focuses on using the camera as an 'eye' to capture what we often don't notice; a poetic documentary, focusing on lights and reflections. Look Around, Not Ahead, is as immersive work, shown physically but remade digitally due to COVID-19. Control is given to Nature, progressing from the camera's point of view to Nature's. Footage is slowed till breaking point, attempting to move away from the bias of human vision as correct vision.
